Kitchen Knives

Beautiful, hand made, superbly functional, knives that hold a razor edge. Treat them right and they will last a lifetime. Our knives are handmade, expect them to take a few days to get to you.

WHAT ARE THEY MADE FROM ?

The Blade
THE BLADE

D2 steel is an air hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel; it has high wear and abrasion resistant properties. Our knives take and hold an edge very, very well. Use mineral oil to clean and maintain the steel.

The Handle
THE HANDLE

Walnut is strong, hard and durable, without being excessively heavy. We take straight grained wood from the trunk and wavy grain from near the roots. Use mineral oil to clean and maintain the wood.

The Sheath
THE SHEATH

We use high quality 3mm (or thicker) leather for our sheaths; our current design is by Simon Hardie of Ashdown Forest Crafts. All knives are supplied with a belt sheath as standard. Use neatsfoot oil to clean and maintain the leather.
